About

Sejal (Pronounced: Sage) is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) who has always been drawn to the emotional experiences that shape how we move through life. Her path into counselling was fueled by a deep curiosity about human behavior and a desire to support others through life’s inevitable transitions. Over the past four years, Sejal has worked extensively with neurodivergent individuals, an experience that deepened her appreciation for the diverse ways people process and communicate emotion. This background ensures her work is flexible, collaborative, and grounded in a deep respect for each person's unique lived experience.

Who I Work With

Working with Sejal feels warm, conversational, and grounding. She creates a space that is as formal or informal as you need it to be, ensuring you feel safe enough to be curious and honest without fear of judgment. Sejal specializes in working with thoughtful, self-aware individuals who feel stuck in recurring patterns and are seeking deeper understanding and healthier relationships. Sejal works with kids, teens, adults and couples. Whether you are navigating relationship challenges, anxiety, or the specific pressures of neurodivergence, Sejal’s goal is for you to leave each session feeling less alone, more connected to yourself, and hopeful about the possibility of change.

Clinical Approach

Sejal utilizes an integrative approach, meaning she moves between different therapeutic models to meet your specific pace and goals. She often works in a "bottom-up" manner, helping you process sensations in the nervous system before moving into cognitive strategies - a method that is highly effective for those who "know" what the problem is but still feel physically stuck in it.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) & Gottman Method: Utilizing the gold standards of couples therapy to address communication dynamics and strengthen emotional bonds.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Identifying and exploring the internal "parts" that shape your emotional responses.

  • Nervous System Regulation: Utilizing a Polyvagal-informed lens to help you understand your body’s unique “alarm system”, providing tools to move out of states of high-alert or shutdown and back into a state of physiological safety and social connection.

  • Neurodivergence-Affirming Support: Specialized care for individuals with ADHD, OCD, ASD, and FASD that celebrates different ways of being while providing tactical support.
